Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Begin your adventure with a 6:30 AM pickup from your Arusha hotel, where your expert guide shares Tarangire’s highlights. Drive 120 km (1.5 hours) in a comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser, arriving at the park by 8:00 AM. Spend 6-7 hours on game drives: morning tracks reveal elephants (2,000+ in dry season), zebras, and leopards lounging in acacias, with baobabs framing the scene. Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch by the Tarangire River, watching giraffes roam. Afternoon drives uncover cheetahs and vibrant birdlife.

Depart the park by 3:00 PM, driving 1 hour to a cozy lodge or camp in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, depart at 6:30 AM for Ngorongoro Crater (30 minutes). Descend into the 260 km² caldera by 7:30 AM for a 6-hour game drive. Morning explorations spot black rhinos, lions, and wildebeest herds, while hippo pools and Lake Magadi’s flamingos dazzle. Pause for a picnic lunch near Ngoitokitok Swamp, watching hyenas prowl.
