Northern Circuit Route
The Whiskey RouteThe Northern Circuit, Kilimanjaro’s longest route at 98 km (61 miles), circles the northern slopes, offering a 95% summit success rate due to its gradual ascent.
The Lemosho Route
The Western SideCovering approximately 70 km (43 miles) round-trip, it boasts a 90-95% summit success rate due to its extended acclimatization profile.
The Marangu Route
The Classic Hut-Based AscentKilimanjaro’s only hut-based path, ascends the southeast slope over 68 km (42 miles). Known as the “Coca-Cola Route” for its accessibility, it offers dormitory-style huts.
The Rongai Route
The Quiet Northern ApproachThe Rongai Route ascends Kilimanjaro’s northern slope, covering 73 km (45 miles) from the Kenyan border. Suit moderate hikers, though the longer summit approach tests endurance.
